Tarragona families earn an income between 1726 and 1953 € per month. 41.7% are couples with children. These data, which are obtained from the Survey of Living Conditions of the City of Tarragona 2007 (SLCCT), also showed an increase in recent years of single-person households, those consisting of couples as well as a group of so-called free relationship.

Regarding the rates of population growth and poverty of the city, their values are similar to the rest of Catalonia, despite being below the equitable distribution of wealth. Among other data, the analysis also states that Tarragona has experienced a population increase of 18.9% in 10 years, mainly due to the increasing of foreign immigration on the city. In addition, it is showed that pensioners are the group that suffers the highest poverty rates in the city.
