Dr. Ignasi Brunet IcartDirector of the research group. Professor of Sociology at the University Rovira i Virgili. Dr. Amado Alarcón AlarcónProfessor of Sociology at the University Rovira i Virgili. Hellín, 1973. Graduated in Political Science and Public Administration at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (1996), Doctor Philosophiae in Sociology at the same University (2002). He joined the University Rovira i Virgili in 1997. In this university has taught mainly in subjects related to Industrial Sociology and Social Research Methods. His main areas of research include language, migration and business. Nowadays, he is developing research projects as principal investigator for the Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación of the Government of Spain for the Observatorio Catalán de la Juventud and the Secretaría por la Inmigración of the Generalitat de Catalunya. |
Dra. Inma Pastor GosálbezProfessor of Sociology at the University Rovira i Virgili. She is author and coauthor of several books and articles in specialized journals on sociology. From October 2006 to October 2008 she was responsible for studies of Industrial Relations and Labor Sciences as a member of Dean of the Faculty of Law, University Rovira i Virgili. She is currently director of the Gender Equality Observatory of the URV. |

Dr. Josep Moreno GenéProfessor of Labor Law and Social Security, University of Lleida. His research focuses on the study of the entrepreneur and his organization, teaching and research staff, as well as the phenomena of immigration, poverty and social exclusion. He is author and coauthor of several monographs and articles in professional journals for Labor and Social Security. Among his recent publications are included: The Minimum Income inserció d'Catalan Social Protection System, Institut d'Estudis Autonòmics, 2006; The new legal regime of the active insertion income, Thomson-Aranzadi, 2007 and the research staff in training, Tirant lo Blanch, 2008. |

Dra. Ana Mª Romero BurilloProfessor of Labor Law and Social Security at the University of Lleida. Her research focuses on analyzing the content and the concerns of employment, the complementary social protection, the impact of new technologies in relations of work, equal opportunity policies and the phenomenon of immigration, poverty and social exclusion. She is author and co-author of several monographs and articles in specialized Law Labor and Social Security. Degree in Economics from the University of Barcelona and a PhD in Business Administration from the University Rovira i Virgili. Awarded first prize at the X Prize EADA (2000). Author of books Trademark Valuation (Gestión 2000) and Retrieve Your Creativity (Septem Ediciones), coeditor of the book Changing the way you teach: Creative tools for management education (Septem Ediciones), e-HRM: Managing Knowledge People (IGI Global, USA), Virtual teams and creativity: Developing Platforms for Co-creation (IGI Global, USA), Encyclopedia of HRIS: Challenges in e-HRM (IGI Global, USA) and Information Communication Technologies and city marketing: Digital Opportunities for Cities around the world (IGI Global, USA). Author of numerous articles and conference presentations on the field of intangible management, management education, applied creativity and ICT. Dr. Mario Arias OlivaPhD. by the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, doing his doctoral thesis on Designing Virtual Organizations. He attended all of the doctoral program at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Netherlands. He completed additional training at the Rotterdam School of Management, Netherlands. He participated in the course organized by the London Business School on Industrial Relations. He is International Researcher Associated of the Center for Computing and Social Responsibility, De Montfort University, England. He has published several articles which include the Journal of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs on "E-learning and lifelong learning" and co-edited the book eHRM: Managing The knowledge in the United States. |

Dr. Aleksander KucelInstructor of Sociology at Pompeu Fabra University. Aleksander is graduated in Economics at Warsaw School of Economics (2002) and obtained his Ph.D. in Sociology at Pompeu Fabra University (2009). His research concentrates on economic sociology of education and labor market. Aleksander has co-authored articles on labor mismatch and fields of study published in International Journal of Comparative Sociology(2008), and various working papers in the field of labor and educational mismatch. Other research lines include economic sociology of health and widely understood social inequalities. |

Dr. Francesc Valls FonayetAssociated professor. Ph.D in 2011 with the thesis entitled: 'Social youth vulnerability: basic forms of poverty and social exclusion. The youth social groups." As part of this thesis, he conducted a stay in the Équipe de Recherche sur les Inégalités Sociales, at the École Normale Supérieure in Paris, under the coordination of Professor Serge Paugam. He has participated in academic research, especially related to the topics of poverty and social exclusion, social inequalities based on age, gender, and ethnicity, as well as on entrepreneurship. He has also collaborated in the authorship of several books and articles in scientific journals. |

Prof. Josiah HeymanJosiah Heyman (Ph.D., CUNY 1988) is Professor of Anthropology and Chair of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Texas at El Paso. He has published three books and 40 scholarly articles and book chapters, including Life and Labor on the Border: Working People of Northeastern Sonora, Mexico, 1886-1986 (University of Arizona Press 1991); Finding a Moral Heart for U.S. Immigration Policy: An Anthropological Perspective (American Anthropological Association 1998); and States and Illegal Practices (edited; Berg 1999). In 1999 he received the Curl Essay Prize of the Royal Anthropological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland. His current work focuses on mobilities and enclosures in society. |

Sr. Xavier PuigPredoctoral fellow. Degree in Sociology (2007) and Investigation and Applied Sociology Master (2008) at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He has worked in gender’s inequalities from different areas: in academic research and in tasks of consultancy and accomplishment of equality plans for the company. Also he has used different theoretical approximations to approach the above mentioned axis of inequality, from the clasical perspective of gender up to the Theory of Games. Nowadays, his research lines in Universitat Rovira i Virgili are social structure, social politics, collective action and political ideologies. |

Sra. Paloma PontónPredoctoral Fellow. Degree in Journalism (UAB, 2002-07), Philosophy (UB, 2004-not finish) and Urban Anthropology Master (URV, 2009-10), she works since 2007 linked to the university research (UAB-URV) in history, gender and equality. She joined the Universitat Rovira i Virgili in 2009, as assistant of investigation of the Department of History and History of Art; and in 2010, she joined to the Observatory of the Equality of the same university. Nowadays she is employed at the doctoral thesis "A study of gender contents in collective bargaining" and participates in other research projects of the Social and Organizational Analysis group. |
