Seminar by Professor Marco Trentini, University of Bologna.
In this seminar, the author will address two issues related to the transition from work to retirement from a sociological perspective.
On one hand, active aging, which will discuss some issues such as protection of social risks, the risks of social differentiation based on age, etc. The other point to address is the establishment of the time of retirement according to the economics and sociology, with a review of research on the subject in the United Kingdom and Italy.
He is member of the Research Center on Aging at the University of Southampton. His most recent research include: active aging and the transition from work to retirement, the teaching profession and working conditions in schools, gender roles and the reconciliation of family and work, the social contract in Emilia-Romagna.
